Using Quizzes and Prerequisites
Your learning management system includes an optional tool to create quizzes for students at the end of any lesson you'd like. You can also link lesson completion to getting at least a certain threshold grade on the quiz. Lessons (and courses) may also have prerequisites so that a user must complete an earlier lesson before they can begin.
This combination of tools and settings means you can control the progress of students through your course without using a pesky time-based drip feed.
